On 18th May 2008, we organised a BBQ to celebrate the group's centenary. The day was attended by over 100 people, many having been part of the group in one way or another during the past - the eldest member that attended was himself a Scout with 1EP in 1947! Many old friends were reunited and the day was also attended by the current Chief Scout, Peter Duncan together with Justine Greening MP and John Fairbrother, Mayor of Wandsworth.
The day was an outstanding success and here is a short video filmed by one of our Beaver parents to help us remember forever and pass on to all future generations of 1st East Putney. Perhaps it will be shown at the Bi-Centenary?
