Young people join cub packs to have fun and adventures with their friemds. Cubs play games, make things, go on visits, camps, holidays and learn new things.
To help leaders run exciting activities we have a programme specially designed for cubs. We have programme zones that each represent a different development area in a young persons life. For example, there are zones for fitness, outdoor Scouting, beliefs and attitudes. We use badges and awards as a way of recognising and rewarding the achievements of our members.
At 1st East Putney we use Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book as our symbolic framework. Leader's names are taken from characters in the book. Akela, the leader of the wolf pack, is also the title of the leader of the Cub Scout Pack. We also have a Grand Howl ceremony to open each Pack night.
